A plain tee is the least remarkable thing in the drawer and the first one out of it. It doesn’t need an occasion. It needs to hold its shape on the mornings you’re not making decisions.
Two details do most of that work. The V is coverstitched, so the collar comes back from the wash flat instead of rippled. Shoulder-to-shoulder taping runs across the back to keep the neckline from stretching out.
Regular fit, standard length, cut straight through the body. At 4.2 oz it’s mid-weight: enough substance to wear on its own, thin enough to layer without bulking the sleeves of whatever goes over it. The only mark is a small logo below the back collar, printed in matching color so it barely reads.
