Most fleece shorts are a compromise. Thin enough to be pajamas, shapeless enough that you’d rather not answer the door in them. These are 8.5 oz, the same weight as a decent sweatshirt, which is a strange spec for a pair of shorts and the whole reason to own them.
The lion runs down the left leg in worked line drawing, sitting low and staying small. From a few steps back these read as plain fleece shorts, which is the point.
Relaxed through the hip and thigh with a tapered knee, so they hang instead of flaring. Elastic waistband with a shoestring drawcord, jersey-lined hand pockets set at an angle rather than along the seam, and one on the back. Black, Heather Grey, or White.
